This session will provide an overview of the Grover M. Hermann Library and its resources and services for graduate students in dissertation programs. Students will learn where to locate and how to access physical and electronic resources, including but not limited to UC Search (library catalog), subject databases, and research guides. Librarians will demonstrate search strategies and methods for evaluating resources in research. This session will also discuss best practices for identifying and using surveys, testing measurements, and other instruments. Librarians will review FAQs from dissertation students, and also briefly discuss learning technologies like citation software, AI, and scholarly communication platforms.
